Rampone Due Voci or "Two Voices" tenor saxophone. Its name refers to the combination of two materials:
*bronze or brass: body, bow
*solid silver: bell.
This name is also due to an old painting representing the two bell towers of the church in Quarna Sotto, where the factory is located, beautifully reproduced in the hand engraving on the bell of these saxophones, and which describes this unique combination of metals, which together with the geometry of the instrument, results in one of the saxophones with the most original sound of those made today.
It is the referenced 2008/TV model of Rampone & Cazzani, the only artisan manufacturer left in the world. Its beginning in the manufacture of musical instruments dates from 1818, many years before the well-known Selmer. All this history behind them makes them to be a manufacturer with a great knowledge of all organology related to the saxophone, with timbres that evoke other times, and finishes that are typical of the most beautiful jewels.
The fact that we manufacture these instruments completely by hand and one by one, makes that we do not always have their extensive catalog in stock, ask availability of other models!
In the production of the "Due Voci" series, no lacquering process is used, allowing the instruments to vibrate with all their potential. The bells are hammered by hand and the engravings are chiselled by hand also. The result is a saxophone with a rich sound in harmonics and with "vintage" reminiscences.
