Beginnings: Our first treasure, a 1940s Orsi alto saxophone

In 2013, Sax On was born.

Vintage instruments began to arrive to our store, and one of the frst ones was an Orsi alto saxophone,  which, based on its design and construction we could date it on 1940's , a saxophone of graet beauty and spectacular condition. 

Our surprise came when, in its case, we not only found the marvelouse instrument but also the seed of we hope will bring knoledge, care, and quality products to the world of the musical market.  productos al mundo del mercado musical.

The Story: Roberto Santtonio, Italian clarinetist and saxophonist.

The origin of the brand lies in a notebook signed by Roberto Santtonio, an Italian clarinetist and saxophonist from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

In this notebook, we discovered that Signore Santtonio was a great follower of Leonardo of Pisa – known as Fibonacci – and also a student of his mathematical theorems, which he always tried to apply to music and cabinetmaking, his two arts and professions.

The golden ratio, or the Fibonacci sequence, has been respected since Leonardo of Pisa published them in the 12th century, but we have no record of anyone before Roberto attempting to apply them to organology or music theory.
