The Phil-Tone Intrepid mouthpiece is powerful, fearless, and bold. It is produced in very small quantities, using a lot of manual labour. It looks like SAPPHIRE, on the outside, but inside lies the difference. The baffle is not of the "rollover" type, but "Reso Chamber" with a baffle with flat, angled steps. This gives a very colourful and textured tone and a great vibration. The window is longer than the other Links and the SAPPHIRE window.
The INTREPID projects a vibrant timbre over the entire length of the saxophone. It is a very beautiful voice mouthpiece, for the tasteful tenor player.
