Vintage Otto Link Early Babbitt 8* tenor saxophone mouthpiece in original condition. Exact tip opening: 0.118 inches, so it would be halfway between an 8* and a 9, but it is very easy to make it sound, with a deep and imposing timbre typical of this series...

Otto Link mouthpieces are an important part of the history of jazz sound throughout the 20th century to the present day. Used by the most legendary artists of the genre, such as John Coltrane, Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins, Stan Getz, Hank Mobley, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon and so many others, to contemporaries Chris Potter or Joshua Redman, to name just a couple of an endless list of great artists.

Super Tone Master metal mouthpieces are 24k gold plated and Tone Edge hard rubber mouthpieces combine elegant design with rich sound quality. Available in soprano, alto, tenor and baritone, all with ligatures and mouthpieces caps.

The different periods and places of production of the brand, gave baptism to names such as Florida, Slant Signature, Early Babbit, Transitional, etc, giving way to a legion of historians and seekers of the Holy Grail of antique mouthpieces.
