Selmer Mark VI Sopranino Saxophone
Selmer Mark VI sopranino saxophone, original from the mid-1970s, manufactured in Mantes-la-Ville by Henri Selmer Paris. Within the Mark VI range, the sopranino is one of the rarest models, featuring a characteristic build of the period: narrow bore, compact keywork, and a very direct response, resulting in excellent articulation precision and stable intonation within the demands of the instrument.
It delivers a centered, bright tone with clear projection and strong definition in the upper register, while maintaining the distinctive Selmer character. The mechanism is fast and responsive, well suited for technical passages requiring agility.
The instrument retains its original pads, which still have usable life remaining. It features a repositioned ligature holder to improve playing ergonomics, without affecting performance. Recently serviced and adjusted, it is fully ready to play.
A rare instrument, both in model and condition, ideal for players seeking a sopranino with strong character or collectors of the Mark VI series.
