Lapacho wood barrel
"TOP Barrel" barrels are handmade from start to finish throughout the manufacturing process. Because of this, each one of them has a unique personality, with very defined properties and colour, as if it were a work of art. The woods available for their production are: Quebracho, Lapacho and Granadillo. The first step in the manufacture of our barrels is carried out on a lathe, thus achieving a homogeneous and profiled exterior shape, also defining the sockets for the tenons. The interior of the body is then hand-finished to bring out the maximum potential of each piece of wood and thus provide intonation and stability throughout the high register of the instrument as well as uniformity throughout the entire range of the clarinet. Finally, we adjust the interior by hand a minimum of 3 times, checking that the internal dimensions that characterise our "TOP" barrel are stable and that the tuning cannot change over time.
We have stock available in most sizes at all times, however due to the manufacturing process mentioned above we are not able to supply a large production run. Clarinet barrels are available from 63 mm to 67 mm, and from 55 to 57 for Yamaha clarinets, including all sizes in between. Other sizes are available on special request, as well as other exotic woods of your choice (please ask for additional charges before ordering).
