Creation of the great Jody Espina, a silver-plated metal mouthpiece for tenor saxophone model DV Chicago; the culmination of a quest to make the mouthpiece more effective in relation to a high volume, full-bodied sound. DV CHI has a darker and less bright tone than the contemporary sound of the legendary DV JodyJazz model.

The baffle and interior camera design is inspired to recall the great Dexter Gordon, feeling at home in a contemporary situation as well. In short, the DV CHI combines the best properties of the successful DV and DV NY series, while adding several new design modifications that enhance the saxophonist's ability to manipulate the sound.
