In 1934 Selmer again made an unpredictable change. The last model of this line was the "Radio Improved", with small improvements in the mechanism and clearly engraved on the bell with the text that gave the model its name. Selmer describes this instrument as "the saxophone intended for recording sessions and radio performances". Fewer than 2000 units were made, and the few that remain today are extremely valuable.
