Rampone "R1 Jazz" tenor saxophone made of unlacquered brass. It is the referenced model 2008/J/OT from Rampone & Cazzani, the only artisan manufacturer left in the world. Its beginning in the manufacture of musical instruments dates from 1818, many years before the well-known Selmer. All this history behind them makes them to be a manufacturer who knows all the organology related to the saxophone, with some timbres that evoke other times, and some finishes typical of the most beautiful jewels.
The fact that they manufacture these instruments completely by hand and one by one, makes that we do not always have their extensive catalog in stock, ask availability of other models!
In the production of the "R1 Jazz" series, noble materials are used, such as brass, copper, bronze, gold and silver. No lacquering process is used, allowing the instruments to vibrate to their full potential. The bells are hammered by hand and the engravings are chiselled also by hand. The result is a saxophone with a rich sound in harmonics and with "vintage" reminiscences.
